Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant is located at the Nine-Turn Bridge of the old City God Temple of Shanghai where was a ship-shaped hall originally, one scenic spot of Yu Garden. In the 26th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu (A.D. 1900), a dim sum shop was opened here, later the shop was renamed Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant, exclusively selling Nanxiang Steamed Buns. The Bun became famous everywhere for its thin skin, plenty stuffing and gravy. The Restaurant has been rebuilt and expanded for three times since 1991, which makes it take on a new look, like a classic and elegant pleasure boat. In the recent 2 years, the Restaurant expanded its business into foreign countries, having established branches in Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia, etc. which has booming business and endless customer stream. The Restaurant fully shows attractive charm in the course of constant expansion and improvement. |
